A couple weeks ago the GRP company had a major fire that took out
their entire plant. They just released a Press Release saying they are
rebuilding and started a new company, MRP S.r.l, but have decided to
not continue with engines.
Official Statement from GRP Srl (New MRP Srl)
"Following our official statement dated 1st of June, after the horrible
event which has involved our factory, we have managed to reorganize
ourselves and to constitute a new company which has taken over the
tire project, to follow up the production under GRP brand. The most
important thing is that our staff has not changed since both Gandini’s
are always in charge of the GRP Tyres’ project, to guarantee once
again quality products, which has always distinguished GRP brand.
Concerning our engine line we have decided to cease the production
for good, mainly because all machinery and tools were destroyed in the
fire along with all our stock of spare parts.
These are all details of our new company:

Therefore, from now on all orders will be invoiced as MRP Srl and you

future payments, that you will receive with our pro-forma invoice after
the receipt of your order.
Our restart is very difficult and it will take place step by step. You find
here our production program, to have an approximate idea of when
each of the following line is in production again:

1:5 Buggy – Middle of July!

In spite of all our difficulties that have increased all production costs,
we have decided to maintain our pricing policy as it went into force
starting from January 2009.
Concerning our new e-commerce, it was ready to be up and running
but now we need some days more to modify it according to our latest
production schedule and we reckon to be able to have it on-line by the
end of June. However, we will let you know the exact date for it with a
separate e-mail.
We do apologize for all inconvenience caused and we take this
occasion to thank once again all drivers, customers and friends who
are encouraging us to keep going in this difficult time.
In faith,
Maurizio & Stefano Gandini" |
