New for the Short Course class, Pro-Line have released the Sniper. It uses the same design philosophy and technology as the Hole Shot, but scaled up to work on looser and dustier track conditions. After initial testing, Pro-Line team drivers Ryan Cavalieri and Travis Amezcua are already sold on the tire saying that the Sniper offers awesome forward traction and side bite on a variety of track conditions. The bigger pins also provide longer wear, giving you lasting traction through long A-mains.

Protoform P37-N 200mm Sedan body

For the last 6 years the Protoform Stratus 3.1 has been one of the most popular and successful 200mm gas-sedan bodies. It’s still used even today in race winning performances by many top ranked pro drivers. Today, Protoform is proud to release the P37-N (nitro) 200mm Gas Sedan body to continue that legacy. This new P37-N body uses some of the time tested and proven design features of the 3.1 but includes many evolutionary improvements to aid down force and steering capabilities. The body conforms to all the ERFA “Global Body Spec” criteria and it comes with protective coating, decals and window masks. Available in Lite and PRO-Lite weights.

The first round of the Victorian State Series was held on Sunday August 29th at the Wodonga Radio Control Car Club, situated on the border town of Albury Wodonga, Australia.

Rain leading up to race day left the track very moist. Ray ran the new JConcepts Flip Outs on both his B4.1 and B44 and found they were perfect for the morning qualifiers. As the sun hit the track and things started to groove up, JConcepts Double Dees were the best choice and Ray ended up TQing 2wd and 4wd and finished the day winning both classes.

Irish Touring Car Series 2010 Rnd 2 Irish Touring Car Series 2010 Rnd 2

CML reports – “The 2nd round of the’ ITCS’ took place on Sunday the 29th August with a win for defending champion Alan Bickerstaff. Following on from round one of the series held on carpet in January the on-road series moved to the fast flowing tarmac circuit at the St Annes Park track, Dublin, Ireland, which is usually used for nitro racing. Despite a rocky start to qualifying Bickerstaff took TQ in the third and final round of qualification being the only driver to make it through for 18 laps. Mark Gilliland (tamiya) lined up second with local Dublin driver Keith Dempsey in third also running a tamiya chassis. After some close racing in each of the three leg finals which saw leg wins for each of the first three qualifiers, Bickerstaff and Gilliland were tied on three points with a win and 2nd counting for each driver! The Associated driver won the tie and together with his maximum point score from round one takes the title of ‘Irish touring Car Series Champion’ for 2010.”
